It`s a good contribution! The creation of a team charter is the first of the « training phase » to create a team alignment and best prepare the team for the next trip. According to PO: « When Alex tried to break the lead barrier as a spokesperson for the team and give everyone a voice, we realized that the AHA time of the meeting was limited, how limited those who work for consulting services are at the expense of the client`s anger. » An important part of the agile process is the maintenance and refinement of the backlog, where one activity is to assign stories of estimates that have not yet received any. This estimate is usually done by planning pokers where sizes are assigned based on the Fibonacci sequence. Divide groups of more than five people into subgroups. In my experience, it is easier to first reach an agreement in small groups and then bring it back to the whole. It`s the story of how I was able to help a team I was coaching improve working relationships and work together to achieve better results. While the result of this trip was a series of work arrangements that reflect a new way of working, the story focuses on the team`s journey to discover and improve. Through this trip, the team gained a better mutual understanding and respect that transcended cultural and geographical boundaries. Work agreements are a simple and powerful way to create explicit policies for the type of work culture you want for your team. They are a memory for all of how they can commit to respectful behavior and communication. In this article, we help you understand why these agreements are useful and how you can help your team establish their own agreements. As many people as I have to thank for helping me on this journey, I would like to start by thanking the teams that have really grown through this process.

Without them, I would not have been able to understand the power of work agreements and that it is more about the journey of self-discovery than the construction of words. I would especially like to thank Kelli Derum, the PO for the team. A few years later, I turned to her and she was always as eager as ever to help. I particularly enjoyed the discussions we had and the time she spent, since she had just had a baby! I also appreciated the open feedback she shared, which I recorded with minimal editing. Special thanks to my wife, Deema, who encouraged me to apply. She has always been a source of strength for me and has helped me find the strength to continue if necessary! Special thanks to my company and my bosses who, although anonymous, remain grateful to them for allowing me to share my story. Last but not least, I can`t find the right words to thank my shepherdess Susan Burk for her precious support, her lucidity and above all her flexibility. Susan has helped me several times to reinvent the approach and focus on the essentials. Thank you, my shepherd, I couldn`t have done it without you! And that`s what I mean sincerely! Work agreements are the perfect opportunity to address sensitive issues such as managing conflicts and disagreements, as well as meeting plans, outsourcing and low engagement.

These problems cannot be swept under the rug in the hope that they will disappear. A lot has been written about how to create these simple guidelines (my favorite article is by Esther Derby), so here`s the process I use when working with a new (or existing) scrum team. The most important factor in developing a teamwork agreement is to identify the challenges your team is facing. Face the unique challenges of collaboration for your team, and then focus on solving those problems.. . .
